Jerry The Giraffe

Jerry is the omni-knowing patriarch of the Giraffe Family. Sweet, caring and pragmatic, Jerry never raises his voice and speaks in a low, empathetic monotone. He loves knowledge and information in any shape or form. You will often catch him reading in the family library. He is the person to come to for answers on anything and everything.

A true academic, he has traveled the world teaching and, in turn, learning in many of the world’s under privileged areas. Jerry believes in the old modicum that education is the key to happiness. A self proclaimed “life-long student”, Jerry still finds joy in discovering new concepts, mastering new musical instruments and playing in the school laboratory, where he is forever trying out old recipes and inventing new concoctions sometimes with hilariously accidental result.

After having had visited every pocket, nook and cranny of the globe, Jerry has decided that his family was ready for a more stationary life. He has accepted a position as a principal of Geonopolis Academy, Where he oversees all aspects of the educational programs and also gets to keep an eye on his three children. The position also allows him full access to a world of educational wealth held by the Geonopolis Academy, including various scientific labs and specialized libraries.

Although it may seem like Jerry is married to erudition, his heart belongs to his wife and childhood sweetheart, Jennie Giraffe. You can see the tenderness and depth of emotion the two shares each time they gaze at each other. Their three children, Jeremy, Jeana and Jeb have been their life’s work. Nobody understands Jerry quite like Jennie and nobody can take care of him better.
